Leicester Ancient Order of Foresters Archery Club is welcoming everyone to give archery a go
Archery GB’s Big Weekend comes to Countesthorpe, LE8 5QW
Families and people of all ages are invited to try the fun and inclusive sport of archery at Leicester Ancient Order of Foresters Archery Club (LAOFAC or ‘Foresters’), on the weekend of the 18 May 2019 – even if they have never picked up a bow and arrow before.
Archery GB’s Big Weekend, will see around 100 clubs across the country open their doors to potential archers. With around 6,000 members of the public set to take part and around 35,000 arrows to be shot in total, it is going to be a massive and exciting UK wide event.
Visitors of all abilities will be able to try out a new sport. Archery is a fun and inclusive activity for all the family, plus there will be the opportunity to meet new friends – at each event there will be plenty of current club members to lend a hand and chat about the social side of archery.
Leicester Ancient Order of Foresters Archery Club (LAOFAC or ‘Foresters’), has been running for 48 years and has 190 members of all ages, who take part in archery on a weekly basis. Leicester Ancient Order of Foresters Archery Club (LAOFAC or ‘Foresters’), is located at the junction between Hospital Lane and Leicester Road, Countesthorpe, LE8 5QW – we’re right next to the Meadows Sports Ground and our Big Weekend event is taking place on Saturday 18th May 2019 at 10:00 to 16:00.
All equipment will be provided, therefore all participants need to do is bring along themselves and plenty of enthusiasm.
